The 2023 vintage

In complete contrast to the previous year, the 2023 vintage can be described as a true Loire vintage, with temperatures and weather patterns that were historically typical of the region. A “vintage ending in 3”, with alternating (severe) cold in winter, a wild spring and a summer with little sunshine, followed by a relatively late harvest. In short, a “winegrowers’ vintage”… almost classic for the old-timers, but a break from the sunny vintages we had grown used to. Although technical and delicate, the choices made by the team throughout the year paid off, giving birth to energetic, fresh and easy-drinking wines.
