PERSONAL OFFER 2026

Belargus is the fulfilment of a wine lover’s dream, and so nothing is more precious to us than the direct bond we share with you. You are part of our “inner circle”. That is why we have created this ephemeral space just for you: it opens twice a year to offer you direct access to our wines, as a preview or in exclusivity.

As our annual Paulée draws near, we are delighted to present our 2026 Selections today. They offer you some twenty bottles of varying (and sometimes giant) sizes, drawn directly from our Œnothèque, to be opened on the grandest occasions. We have also put together five mixed cases for you, allowing you to explore the richness and diversity of our terroirs, something many of you had asked for. Some of these bottles have never been released before, and others go back to our very first vintage…

So, happy “treasure” hunting!…

In 60 BC, Virgil was already singing the praises of hillside vineyards. The soul of Belargus lies in the ancient hills of Anjou Noir, particularly in its three iconic ‘Hauts-Lieux’: Les Treilles, Les Quarts and Le Clos des Ruchères. The unique energy that emanates from these wines is commensurate with the (sometimes almost heroic) efforts required on a daily basis to cultivate their steep slopes...

Between the Loire and Layon rivers, on a mosaic of well-exposed hillsides, the noble Chenin grape has reigned supreme for over a thousand years. In years such as 2022 when Mother Nature provides a sunny late season, the autumn mists create ideal conditions for the development of botrytis cinerea, the ‘noble rot’ that allows the production of exceptional sweet wines... perfect for meditation in silence and introspection.
